SPIL hosts NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang at new factory site for the acceleration of semiconductor assembly and test services

Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd. (“SPIL”), a subsidiary of ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd. (TWSE: 3711, NYSE: ASX), welcomed Jensen Huang, NVIDIA founder and CEO, to the opening ceremony of its Tan Ke Plant site. SPIL’s Chairman C.W. Tsai met with NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, highlighting the close collaboration between the two companies, as they work together to usher in the new era of AI chip innovation.

The development of semiconductor assembly and test services is critical in meeting growing demand for AI processors. SPIL’s specialized technical expertise in advanced assembly and test services is pivotal in accelerating the development of new AI products. Beyond assembly services, SPIL offers comprehensive support including wafer sorting, final testing and burn-in services.

SPIL Chairman C.W. Tsai highlighted that the Tan Ke Plant is specifically designed to meet the growing demand for NVIDIA’s accelerated computing. Currently, the manufacturing facility has reached ramp-up stage, with SPIL committed to support NVIDIA by ensuring rapid time to market – a key mission of SPIL.

SPIL has been actively expanding its manufacturing capacity through new factory developments. Along with the inauguration of the Tan Ke Plant, SPIL continues to expand new plants in Changhua, Erlin, and Huwei, Yunlin. This year, the Hu Ke Plant is set to begin equipment installation while planning is underway for a new factory site in Douliu, Yunlin. SPIL’s robust talent recruitment efforts are in full swing to drive significant talent demand and local economic boost. Looking ahead, central Taiwan is poised to become a major hub for advanced semiconductor assembly and packing.
